Professor Gustavo Dias

Gustavo Dias was born in Paranagua, Brazil. He started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 13 and began competing one year later. His innate talent for The Gentle Art was evident from the start.
In July 2008, at the age of 20, Gustavo earned his black belt and shortly after moved to the United States to continue his career as a professional fighter under the wing of two of the most successful Jiu-Jitsu competitors to date, Saulo Ribeiro and Xande Ribeiro. While working under the Ribeiro Brothers at the University of Jiu-Jitsu, Gustavo developed his skills as an academy manager and discovered his innate talent and passion for teaching.

Beyond teaching the techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Gustavo believes in teaching the Six Blades Values prepares his students and competitors to live in the modern world with great success. With over 16 years of teaching experience, Gustavo knows that teaching the importance of family, respect, honor, loyalty, attitude, and discipline has proven key to the success of his students.
Gustavo travels worldwide to teach seminars, train national athletes, and maintain a standard for the Six Blades Affiliation. Gustavo has visited and taught at over 100 academies in more than 30 countries.

Gustavo is the owner and head Professor at Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Pacific Beach in San Diego, California.
